ip35 pro was ok. otherwise, no.
My IP35-Pro was a great board other then the uGuru issues. I remember when they were among the best. Ashame to see them go.
Yeah it does suck, oh well. Life goes on gents, just like epox another good ocing mobo company bit the dust.
I think they bit the dust, now is Soyo still around??
Abit - yet another hardware company with rude, unresponsive couldn't-give-a-shit customer support. Take your money to those who stand behind their products.
I disagree about the quality going down & I've probably used more of their boards than virtually anyone else here.Abit's quality has gone way down for the most part over the last couple of years (aside from pretty much only the IP35 boards), and the fact that they're out of the mobo business should tell you something as well.

Aside from the IP35, can you name a single abit board released within the last four years that can match up to the IC7 series in terms of quality? I doubt it.
The AA8XE was quite good. I''m not 100% sure its' within the four year span but that was the board I used with my Pentium Model 540. It was a badass overclocker and extremely stable. It's the last good board of theirs I really used.

I had a few Epox boards in the past also. At one time Soyo had some nice boards. What ever happend to soltek?

I had an IS7 series board from the same time period. Stable for the 4 years I had it.
The IS7 was the i865 version of the IC7, and it was part of the same generation of boards. It doesn't count in this context.
That's what I said. IS7 series. I never said that the IS7 was the 875.... How does that not count, both boards were from the same time period?
Because they're nearly the same thing. I was making the point that past that generation, Abit haven't made any boards that could match up to the quality of the IC7 series. Providing an example of a board from the same time isn't really relevant to that.
Right... I was only stating that I had an IS7 from the same time and that it ran stable; that is all. So I do not see a problem with that as I was replying to your comment. Nothing more.
No problem, I'm just saying that your comment wasn't really relevant to the point I was making.
Given that I only really came back to Intel with C2D after using exclusively AMD for many years I have no reference of using an IC7 to judge by (I did have a DFI 975 & an Asus P4C800-E Dl though).Aside from the IP35, can you name a single abit board released within the last four years that can match up to the IC7 series in terms of quality? Who now a days has good support? Ive heard bad about Abit, Asus, DFI...
