is it possible to overclock my dell inspiron 1100?

Overclocking laptops is like putting a turbo on a Geo. It's not a very good idea, something's gonna burn.

then whats the point?

he obviously wants to do it just because. he's made several threads on overclocking various bullshit OEM computers.

the answer to all of his questions is as follows:
try CPUFSB, but you risk damaging your chip. there goes your warranty , too. if you can afford to risk your OEM box like that, you can afford a new DIY computer.

i have a inspiron 1100 too, and i want to overclock it ( i dont even rly care if i kill the chip, im getting a new one. see profile) the only problem is what do i put as the motherboard? since i have a dell motherboard.... what should i put if it isnt listed, or, what else could i use? and other progs or bios hacks/cracks alternatives?

i just want to do it like 100mhz, like skate, just to say i did.
