Hello. I have an Asus Strix 980 Ti. Today after quitting nvidia demo HUMAN HEAD when i was on desktop in Windows 7 ( card was cooling down ), i saw a one vertical line flicker for 1 second. That was happened once, and never again. I have a question. It was gpu related or not?

In game 0 artifacts. I am observing and no visible artifacts. Today just after quitting HUMAN HEAD demo when i was on desktop ( and card was cooling down ) one vertical line flicker for 1 second. Is this something to worry about or not?

I tried exactly same test with conditions many times. And it not repeats. I dont know why it happened once. Is this something to worry about?

What a great answer...

If this has happened only once I would wait and see if something similar happens again. Maybe run a benchmark like Valley for a few hours and see if any artifacts show.

Giving long and convoluted answers with lots of hypotheticals for a one time occurrence is pointless. He asked a simple question, so he got a simple answer.

Word count numbers rarely lead to better results.

On all games i dont saw artifacts. ( GTA V, Black Ops 3, 3dmark 11, Unigine Heaven etc... )

But like i said when i was quitting HUMAN HEAD demo, then in windows desktop ( when card was cooling down ) i saw for 1 second flicker vertical line. It never happened again. I tried to reproduce . So i ran again test 15 times, starting and quitting .But no saw flicker again. I dont know why it happened once.

Just a heads up:

OP is the guy who occasionally posts complaints about GPU temperature across the internet and never accepts an answer or explanation given. OP is a hypochondriac when it comes to a hardware, or a dedicated troll.

I found 4 sites with this exact question so far.

yikes

He was here a while ago about fan noise and he posted same question on numerous forums. He is a troll. Ignore him.

Sounds like someone who goes to the doctor after they sneeze.

If the situation isn't reproducible - it shouldn't be an issue.

I don't think he's a troll.. But he does seem like a hardware hypochondriac.

My guess it would be glitch due to driver power saving....just happens once in a while. Nothing to worry about:)

There's always some sort of flickering glitches etc, when starting games closing games, anything 3D, that's the life.

I wouldn't worry unless you see issues while it's rendering.
