On newegg they have (dual packs) of memory and dual channel kits. Are these the same?

dual channel is for dual channel cpus/mbs . dual pack probably means there are two in the package like if its 512mb ram maybe its two sticks of 512mb of ram=1gig or something like that.

Yeah, I know that it could possibly mean that, that is why I am asking. Does anybody know? I want to run dual channel.

Most dual-packs from reputable brands (such as Corsair and Kingston) have been tested and matched to work correctly on dual-channel systems. On the other hand, buying modules individually sometimes means taking a risk that they may not work in dual-channel mode.
