Is there a difference?

Hi,
I'm looking at getting a sound card (the HT Omega Striker). I was wondering if there's a noticeable difference between Max. digital playback 96k/24bit (striker) and 192k/24bit (the other model: Carlo). Has anybody had an experience going from 96k to 192k? Is it worth the extra cash? And this is a long shot, but has anybody had any experience going from the C-Media CMI8770 chipset to the C-Media CMI8788?

Do you even have any 24/192 material? If not, I wouldn't worry about it.
