Is there any speed difference between the 150gb and 300gb Velociraptors?

so for gaming, which one is better for loading up games faster and stuff.

150gb is plenty of space for main OS drive, so I prefer just speed for gaming

Well loading is going to be mostly reading, but the difference is pretty minor so just get the one you want.

You might consider dual drive, if you put a games on a separate hard drive you'll find performance gains. My experience with Crystaldisk mark is that read speeds on a OS drive drop versus the same drive for data alone, due to the mechanical head on the HD is going to be doing system writes and trying to read data at the same time. On a seperate drive (say a pair of 150s) you'll preserve read speed.

Dual drives would be nice, but it cost a lot more. A VR150 is ~$150 and a 300GB is like $220.
