Is windows 7 truly color aware?

I see some of the color profile work etc. But is this build truly color aware?
No more wide gamut saturation issues etc?
Does this filter down to non color aware apps run on the os platform?
PROOF?!
 
I'm not aware of Windows 7 having any major colour management improvements compared to Vista; if that's correct, then non-colour-aware programs won't be affected by OS-level settings.

You arent being very polite.
Win7 is wide gamut aware, hence why you can configure it.
It is the first OS that is truly wide gamut aware.
Google is your friend.
 
i'm sorry, but after the hell fest display had with the last thread i tried to make touching the subject i'm NOT letting this one get off topic. Do you have proof? I can't find any solid data.

While I did look, I didn't see anything (and haven't heard anything) suggesting that the OS corrects colour in non-aware programs. The existence of system colour profiles itself is not a change from Vista, which also supports them (although 7 has more support). However, that post on the photography forum says it does correct non-aware programs; if so then that is a useful change.
