I am sure most of you have heard about the new 750gb Seagates?

I wonder how noisy they are? One of these would allow me to rip all my dvd's to a single harddrive instead of needing to build a server. I will hold out until we hit 1Tb harddrives. Then these "smaller" ones ought to be cheaper.

the bigger drives get, the more I need mirroring. It makes me nervouse having so much data on a single drive. if it fails, you loose so much.
