Long story, GF mobo died in a freek accident involving a Lanbox, a cat, and a misplaced beer. Friend a mobo and an X2 CPU. Unfortunatly the she stuck with a 3500+ single core. Which, while faster than the P4HT 3.0ghz, is only one core.

So gents, money is tight and until I can clear funds for another Dual, Tri, or Quad On this Foxconn A74MX-S, I want to push this thing for all it's worth.

How far do Orleans cores (90nm) go? Currently this is where I am...

I can add other hardware information if you need it. So the question is... how much further should I push it?

from what ive read.. 2.75ghz seems to be about the limit.. you could try pushing it further.. your no where near the max on cpu voltage.. the only limiting factor is the HT link speed and memory clock..

Yup, thats as far as I'd go. I gave my sister my Old Athlon 64 4000+ (basically the same CPU as yours, only with 2mb of cache instead of 1mb) and 2.7Ghz was about the limit on it too.

I guess so... even with 1.50v it didn't like 2860 (260x11) so stuck here,

Weird, HT on this mobo dosen't have an X3 setting... :-/

Thanks for the help tho.
