Joystick recommendations?

I'm helping my friend look for a nice joystick. His budget is around $50 bucks.

Yea, It was time for me to upgrade. I was using a joystick from like 1995 until about a year ago. So I decided to spend a little.

I'm using this: Logitech Extreme 3D Pro. Reviews are mixed, but the one I've got has held up under heavy air/space-sim gaming for almost two years now, so I think it's pretty solid.

EDIT: $24 at newegg.

Saitek is great, I personally use a Thrustmaster Cougar HOTAS setup for all my flight sims. But it's a beast of a setup and not for the casual gamer.
