Just set up my BEFSX41. Any special settings I should use?

Never used a hardware router/firewall before, so I am wondering if there are any specific settings or things I need to do to insure that it is secure and protected.
 
Depending on the age of the unit, if it's older...make sure you update the firmware...the 1.50 and 1.51 versions were horrible, get the latest.
 
The 1.51 appears to be the newest firmware as I cannot find anything newer. Linksys does not even list the version 2.1 (which I have)..only the 2.0.
 
Yeah sorry...I meant 1.52...I have 1.52.15 factory installed. I was referring more to any specific settings on the router I should turn on/off?
