Lacie 2bigNetwork hd upgrade worth while?

Hello

So I have this device in the 1tb flavor 2x1tb running in mirror mode. I am running low on space. Would it be possible to replace the drives 1 at a time so that I won't have to send this data to a middleman? Or should I look for a different solution? And what would be the biggest drive I can put in there?

I don't know enough about the LaCie 2Big Network drives to be able to help you specifically, but I'd imagine the biggest drive would be 2TB units. I will say however, that considering what such a device offers, you'll likely be better off in the long run building your own home server and running an OS such as Amahi Home Server or Windows Home Server.
