I realize this is slightly overbudget, but I saw the BenQ FP91G+ (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16824014090) a 19-incher with good specs for $267 (after a $30 mail-in rebate). If my budget had been about $250, this would have been a top candidate I am certain. Especially since 2 inches screen size really does make a big difference. Don't forget to check reviews and then the special deal sites such as http://www.edealinfo.com/DDCateg/monitors.shtml and http://www.fatwallet.com to name but a couple. Albert
