So I was trying to find out some updated info on the Samsung S23A750D and S23A950D monitors. Then I stumbled across this article. Not very much info. Has anyone heard of this/got any more info? Gonna make the assumption that it will be 1680x1050. I'll copy the contents of the article for those who can't get to it.

There has been a recent upsurge in interest in 3D display technology following its (re)introduction into our lives in the cinemas and our own homes. For many, however, the requirement to wear specialised glasses is a bit off-putting. Although manufacturers such as LG have taken many steps to improve viewer comfort they come at the expense of wireless power requirements (i.e. batteries), dulling effects on the image and the restrictions associated with wearing such ‘stylish’ headwear. LG have recently announced something refreshingly different – the D2000.

This model number might sound like some kind of robotic R2D2 offspring from Star Wars but it’s actually a 20″ 3D PC monitor. It’s no ordinary 3D monitor, either, as it utilises an autostereoscopic (glasses-free 3D) technology similar to that used on the Nintendo 3DS – known as a parralax barrier. LG has coupled this with a small camera on the top edge of the D2000′s bezel which tracks eye-movement and adjusts the image for optimal 3D viewing from various different angles.

Aside from this headline feature the actual specifications of the monitor such as resolution and panel type are not yet known. Pricing and availability is also to be confirmed by LG but a launch in South Korea is expected later this month with global availability during late summer or early autumn. It will be interesting to see how comfortable the viewing experience is and whether people are willing to sacrifice screen size for this kind of viewing freedom. We’ll keep you posted as any further specifications or reviews of the LG D2000 are available.

Edit: Some more info I found on this. Link to article.

Excerpts from the article.
LG’s D2000 has a camera sensor which detects eye position changes and adjusts the 3D picture to the viewer. Currently the functionality can only handle a single viewer but as the technology advances, look forward to larger audiences being able look at the same 3D image at the same time.
The D2000 is expected to debut in South Korea sometime this summer with a worldwide roll-out towards the holiday season.
