DISREGARD: I just ordered the components below.

First off these are my current specs.

GIGABYTE GA-EP45T-UD3LR LGA 775 Intel P45 ATX Intel Motherboard
Intel Core 2 Duo E8400 Wolfdale 3.0GHz LGA 775 65W Dual-Core Processor
G.SKILL 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1333 (PC3 10666) Dual Channel
I also have a Nvidia 260 video card

I am wanting to upgrade to something nice since I started playing Battlefield 2 bad company. Now my current system plays just fine. I can even crank everything up to max settings on my video card. I just want to get into something quad core since it can use it with the game. Now first if you were to upgrade which way should i go? 1156 or 1366? I see the 1366 has more memory slots on it, but I have also noticed the 3 colored blue slots. Does this mean that i have to have 3 sticks of memory or could I just use my two? Also I would like to get a motherboard that supports the new USB 3.0 and 6gps SATA for future. I mostly just want to drop money on a motherboard and processor for the time being and just reuse all of my old stuff till I want a new video card etc. So which way should I go? Also I am not really interested in overclocking if this helps also. Since both chips I am looking at are exactly the same price, one is just a 1156 and the other a 1366. Thanks for any input.:)

I am currently looking at this for the 1156 setup:
