Well, I honestly dont know what happened. Just one day, I booted my pc like normal, just to find no cd drive listed under my computer. So I went to the hardware manager, and appearantly one of the drivers went corrupt. I tried searching for drivers but I had no luck. The Lite-on website directed me to a firmware download that matched my exact model, and said it was incompatible, so my only idea solution is to uninstall it and hope my mobo picks it up again. Any ideas?

Yes, that one.

Well, I just did exactly that, and I still get the same error from device manager.

Windows cannot load the device driver for this hardware. The driver may be corrupted or missing. (Code 39)

Any other suggestions?
