Hi!

So I jumped on this Amazon rebate on the G7 a while ago. The product page had a green G7 but I got a black one!

Anyway...

After a while, the top feels like there's a layer of grimy stuff on it. It feels crusty and I think it's dead skin or something. How do I clean that off?

Also, are the feet durable? I use it on a glass mousepad and I might get a new mousepad because glass is pretty rough. Should I get a cloth mousepad? And what is this teflon tape thing people recommend? I know what teflon tape is, but can someone explain to me the uses of it on mouse feet?

Thanks!

Hmm, I'd prefer not to spend too much though.

Best if I never need to replace the feet at all (a.k.a. no damage).

I have a Func Archetype and there is little to no wear using the 10s smooth side after using the G7 for about 8 Months.

Just use a slightly damp t-shirt (water) to clean the top. The black one at least has the rubber sides. I have the original green one which is glossy all over and the gloss finish is really the only hit I have against the mouse.

Frozencpu also has the replacement pads for the G7:
