Longhorn: Reverse feature creep?

What's going on with Longhorn?, the timeframe keeps getting longer while the feature list gets shorter.

How does that work exactly?

At this rate it'll end up being released as service pack 3 for XP in 2010.

I didn't mind some of the other stuff so much, but the .NET/Managed code stuff was one of the key things that still made Longhorn a significant advance over the current range, and now they're marginalising that aswell.

What's going to be left?
 
I agree. Win FS was something to look forward too... I am bummed that they didnt include that.

Hopefully longhorn will be ok... and hopefully it will be worth the money.
 
Is longhorn still going to incorperate bigbrother software that monitors if you do naughty things?

i don't think it monitors you, it just doesn't allow you to do things that maybe be consider harmful to the various special interests in the world.
