looking for DRM free FLAC

I've never bought digital music before and don't know where to buy. I know that google, apple and amazon sell songs but I don't know about the quality or DRM.

I'm looking for Le tourbillon from the film "Jules et Jim". What site is good to buy from? I will probably buy the whole soundtrack

None of the major online music retailers sell lossless tracks. Your best bet is to buy the CD and rip it yourself if you absolutely need lossless. All of the major online music retailers have gone away from DRM, and the quality offered is indistinguishable from a CD (to 99.99% of the population).

There are a couple sites that sell lossless, I don't remember them off hand. Buying used dirt cheap on Amazon and ripping to FLAC is what I do.

Itunes does do 256 aac and Amazon does mp3 LAME v0 last time I checked, both are very high quality for lossy files, though not lossless.

http://www.hdtracks.com is the one I've been too before for lossless audio. FLAC is the default format, but you can also get AIFF and 320 kbps MP3s.

Be warned: the pricing is expensive, primarily due to the record labels pricing structure.
