I got my Core 2 Duo E6400 up to 3.2GHz with 1.45 vCore, the memory (2GB G.Skill) is at DDR2-800 4-4-4-12, and got the 7900GS cards (SLI) running at 590/1560. That's a decent stable overclock that I'm happy with. My benchies:
3DMark05 v1.20 - 14163
3DMark06 v1.10 - 7781
Do these seem a little low? They are about 50% higher than my A64 x2 3800 running at 2.4 GHz, 2GB DDR 3200, single 7900GT at 600/1600. 3dMark (online results) says there is only one system similar to mine and it can't make a good comparison. I've searched here and can't find a good similar setup to compare with either
I applied the patch for multi-core systems from Microsoft, used the default SLI profiles, default settings in 3dMark06... ran it through again with the SLI bar enabled to see that both cards were being taxed... I thought for sure I would break 8,000. Any hints?
