Mac Mini as HTPC?

Perhaps I am wrong, but from my point of view, if Apple were to put some form of video capture (or even better tuners) on it, the Mac Mini would be the ultimate HTPC.

I am sure several of the Linux HTPC utilities (MythTV?) can be ported to OSX if they have not alread been, or just run Linux on it

Is the hard drive a laptop drive? Because if not, then a large HD would benifit a HTPC.

There is an OS X version of MythTV, that is supposedly working pretty well (Havent tried the OS X version, but run an x86 MythTV front/backend). I would think that it might be a little limited for being a front/backend, but if you used it just as a frontend, it would probably perform pretty well. (Have a backend that does all the recording, storage, encoding, etc.. then the mini just has to decode and play the video).
