MCE 2005 starts freezing/skipping within a few mins of watching LIve TV..

And when I change channels it works fine but as a few minutes later it starts skipping again.


Also when I just set it to record something without MCE being on, when I play back the recording it does the same thing, the first few minutes plays fine but soon after it starts freezing.

Any ideas of how I could fix this? or what could be causing it.


system specs:
AMD Athlon 64 X2 3800+
Corsair 2 gigs
Hauppauge WinTV-PVR-500

Try reloading the decoder. Also check to see if your CPU usage is maxed out or not. It might be some program in the background taking up resources.

How do I reload the decoder?


To install the card I just inserted the Cd and had windows searched the "removeable media" and it installed.

have you installed the amd processor driver? if not, do that and it should clear up your stuttering
