is the webguide really microsoft?

the ITV is kindof blah (the ability to view web stuff in media center)..


its the webguide's placeshifting is what sounds good (ability to place shift your media), although from the article it doesn't sound free and it doesn't sound like its from microsoft..

The other new feature, called WebGuide, is a third-party application... ...it is a time-shifting, place-shifting TV viewing solution

although this is exactly what i was hoping for, for a few years i used SageTV's placeshifter.. its something i sorely miss after having gone to VistaMC..

I have been using webguide for about a year i think. Sweet program. Install it and run the config to set your port so you can get to it through your firewall. Then just open a pc and do http://localhost:portyouchoose.
