Media Player Classic...no sound!

I'm using MPC to open my tuner card to watch TV, but I get no sound (but video is fine). The audio worked before and then I did some uninstalling of PVR software and now it doesn't work. The audio works fine in WinTV. My tuner card is a Hauppauge 1600.

Any help would be awesome, thanks.

Make sure you don't have the volume muted from within the media player =)

Had this moved from General Software thinking this might be a better location, can anyone help?

I just reformatted and I'm getting the same problem as before. I installed chipset and audio drivers, have the latest graphics drivers, installed AC3Filter and ffdshow, and nothing. Any ideas?

So no one uses MPC for watching TV, ever?

I've tried it with my Hauppauge HVR-1250 and it worked fine, no audio issues.

When you go to "open device", make sure the audio selection is your capture card.

Also make sure you have AC3Filter set as your preferred external plugin, and configure it properly. It shouldn't matter though, because MPC has AC3Filter built in.
