Memory for a notebook

Need to get some memory for a relatives notebook.

Its a Fujitsu S7010 which currently has 512meg of DDR333 which I think is PC2700.

If I buy some faster notebook ram will it just default to the speed of the slower module.

If thats the case then I'll do that.

well neither link worked for me, but from what i understand most chipsets(newer ones) should have a max of pc3200=ddr400. Even if you have slower modules, the new ones should be able to reach their full potential. Just take a look at the mb/chipset and by that you should be able to get the max limit for ram and stuff.

The modules you buy should run at your current bus speed, even if they are rated for faster. Just make sure not to buy DDR2 for a machine that should run DDR, and you are good.
