I thought the limit was one per person?
That limit is rarely enforced.

That limit is rarely enforced.
And you're basing that assessment on...
Probably from experience or having seen it not be enforced .
The products are available online on MC, but I can't seem to add to cart. It says "Product No Longer Available". Now, is it out of stock already from people reserving or we have to show up in person?
I don't see a category for 1155 socket chips on the mc site.
I just realized there's no point in buying from Microcenter anymore.
The HIGH END $80 in savings that I'd have for:
2500k - $179.99
asus p67 pro - $189.99
$370 vs $450 (estimated high for other retailers)
Would be lost simply by buying in California (9.75% tax rate. + Gas cost of driving. $15 each way) makes it not worth it at all to go to microcenter.
You mean that it probably doesn't make sense for YOU. You live in the ghetto part which has to pay more taxes. I can get the 2500K + P8P67 for $326 which is a lot less than any other store I've seen. Maybe $2 worth of gas also (roundtrip). Sorry.
I put in a reserve for local pickup in overland park, ks. Now the k processors are showing out of stock. I hope I got mine reserved in time.
Didn't even see the reservation option. I was searching them under "Processors" on the left side, and wasn't getting any 1155 stuff. Seems like a lot of sites have the products listed, but not correctly indexed into their categories, so you need the right URL to find them. I wonder when the 2500k will be back so I can reserve mine.
How does the MC Web site usually work guys? I live in NC and it's letting me add the 2600K to my cart at the sale price and check out. I'm scared to enter my CC and submit the order because it seems screwy based on what's been posted in this thread (local pickup only).
EDIT: nm. I gave it a shot. WTH right? Might go through.
Store Inventory
The inventory shown is specific to the store you've chosen, but does not include items in the purchase process. Although you may be able to place an item in your shopping cart, it may not be available when your reservation is processed at the store. Please wait for your Reservation Ready email to ensure that your item(s) are available and/or ready for in-store pickup.
I think I might be in for a 2400 next month if the Q boards with vt-d come out. Otherwise I'll wait.
From the website:
I guess we'll see. It's kind of dumb that you don't get an email when you submit the reservation- only when they fill it. I have no tangible proof that I submitted my order...
