Microsoft and researchers from the University of California are taking aim at search spammers. If you’ve searched the web for any length of time you know that search spamming is getting way out of control, it’d be nice to see the practice killed altogether.

“By exposing the end-to-end search spamming activities, we hope to ... encourage advertisers to scrutinize those syndicators and traffic affiliates who are profiting from spam traffic at the expense of the long-term health of the Web”

I sent an email to Orbitz with the link and a message saying I don't approve of their indirect support for Spam. I spend probably $10,000 per year through them on airline tickets and hotels (some business, some personal), and I think it important they get the message that their customers disapprove of their support for spam.
