OK, so I'm setting up a new system here, and at my disposal I have 4 512mb sticks of recent BH-5 Twinmos pc3200, and 4 256mb sticks of Corsair XMS 3200. The system I'm putting together will be using a Chaintech NF4-Ultra with a amd64 3000+. I'm assuming the 2gigs of Twinmos would outperform the 1gb of XMS, right? Now what if I tweaked the XMS to it's potential, would the the larger amount of Twinmos still be preferable? TIA.

ew.. 4 sticks. do you have anything that really needs more than 1gb of ram?

EQ2 seems to be pretty ram intensive. I guess that adds another possibility..would it be better to just use 2x 512mb Twinmos?

well, 4x512mb will mean 2T command rate and possibly 166mhz, depending on what cpu core that is. i would try 4x512mb and see how well it works. compare it to 2x512mb, and see which you like better :D
