So i was looking on the newegg because i am shopping for a motherboard. I saw a couple of motherboards with an 8-pin power connector but four of the pins were covered up by something black on the motherboard like a cap. This worries me bacause when i get this motherboard, do i plug the 8 pin into this or the 4-pin off my new PSU into this port if 4 holes are covered up...

Has anyone else noticed this or just me?

On my DFI LTP35, I pluged 4PIN off my PSU into the 4 ports not covred. Works fine.

Thats just a cover encase you only have 4-pin. You can pull it off and use the 8-pin if you have it with no problem. The same goes with covers that you may see on the 20/24 pin main connector.
