At this point I feel I've invested enough into water cooling and I don't want to replace parts.

I have a very old school setup composed of the following:

'77 Bonneville Heatercore
Swiftech Apogee (LGA 775 support)
MCP-655B Pump
Swiftech MCRES Micro

The issue is the Swiftech Apogee block supports LGA 775. I'm not sure if this is compatible with LGA 1155.

I am currently looking into this:
http://www.xoxide.com/swiftech-apogee-1366-platekit.html

So are any of these compatible?
LGA 775 = LGA 1155
LGA 1366 = LGA 1155

some of the 1155 boards have 775 mounting holes so ti would work but it depends.

I was running a Swiftech Apogee GTX on my 775 board. Ended up having to order a GTZ 1156 adapter kit (GTZ-UHD-1156-BP), runs around ~$10 plus shipping/taxes.

Gabe at Swiftech told me that 1156 stuff fits on an 1155, I'd recommend contacting him ([email protected]) to see if there's a mounting solution for your OG Apogee.

The 1156 kit should fit the 1155 board. That is the most cost effective way to fix your situation without having to wait and see if they release that specific mounting kit.

Thanks!

That really gives me options to consider. Not sure what to do now, I was fairly certain the incompatibility would force me to just go back to air cooling.
