What psu's have you used and had trouble with, and had success with?

I have the above mentioned mobo and am just looking for a little bit of feedback on various available psu's. FWIW, I'm intending on partnering the mobo with an FX-57 and 2 7900's. Other stuff will include 2 74Gb WD Raptors. Also need room for expantion, since quality water cooling is definitely on the agenda for the future.

Thanks in advance!

I didn't realize there were any compatibility issues with the K8N Diamon Plus board and any power supplies.

Am I missing something?

using a fsp fx700-gln, no problems what so ever

rock solid stable

I built one with a PC P&C 850SSI for a guy. He's got a X2 4800+, 2 x 7800GTX's, 2 x 74gig Raptors, a 400gig WD w/16meg buffer, w/c system, couple of UV CCFLs, Etc.

Works great and I got his 4800+ up to 2.9 @ 1.5Vcore but it wasn't stable and I wasn't too fond of the idea of going higher on the Vcore with someone else's $900 CPU. Yeah, I'm a wimp.

I just installed the OCZ 700w game(x)stream psu in my system yesterday, running the diamond plus mb, opteron 170 (10x250), ATI x1900xt, 2 gigs gskill ddr 500, 74 gig raptor, 250 sata drive, nec dvd burner, vantec 3.5 multi card reader, 1.44 floppy. So far so good, no problems, passed memtest, running folding with both cores no problems. played Quake 4 for a couple of hours last night. Everything appears to be stable, We will have to wait and see what happens over the next week or so.

I did see a thread over at msi hq that they stated that any dual rail psu wont work very well with the diamond boards. They are telling everyone to go back to single rail with 33a. Not sure about all that though.

Using an Ultra 600w X-finity along with a Thermaltake Power Express 250 for videocards (2x BFG 7800GT). No stability problems.

Overkill?!?!?! :D

Currently using an Antec Neo 550, before that, a true power 430 while the 550 was RMA'd. It was DOA from ZZF. 3800 X2, and SLI'd 7800 GTs in the system.

@JonnyGURU....Overkill??? Until you realize that I'm powering 3x 300GB drives, 2x optical drives, 1 floppy, 1 zip, 2x BFG 7800GT, TrackIR, Intel Camera, Hauppauge TV tuner, 2x case fans..... Still think it's overkill????
