This is an enthusiast level 290X. $329 is lowest price I have ever seen it at.

I'd be about it if it didn't take 3 PCI-E connectors. 2x 6+2 and 1 6 pin. Kind of ridiculous. Even a 295x2 only takes 2 6+2 pins.

I've been watching the GPU section at Newegg a lot lately because I'm itching to upgrade. The 290X's were down to $320 shipped with a $20 MIR. That was the Sapphire Tri-X version. The XFX DD was $330 shipped with a $30 MIR if I remember right. The higher end cards like the MSI Gaming and the Powercolor PCS+ have been in the $350+ range and this one has been around $390 a while.

This is actually a smoking deal tho especially with 3 games. I'm really liking MSI's cards these days.

The lightning series is the best you can get. Not just from MSI, overall. This is crazy how cheap they are getting.

Also the extra power adds lots of benefits. If you think it's a problem then you're not up to speed on the card...

Hmmmm, only concern is that this may raise case temps quite a bit, as it seems to vent mostly to chassis rather than out the back of the case.
