MSI X58m mosfet cooling?

Maybe the mobo is now being built with lower-resistance transistors that don't get as hot? But MOSFETs are usually made to withstand at least 125-150C, so maybe the heatsinks were really for protecting the nearby capacitors from heat conducted to them, but if the capacitors are of better quality (like the solid os-con types in the AnandTech pictures), maybe the higher temp is OK. OTOH even the MOSFETs on old Dell 486 mobos have heatsinks, and nothing on those mobos is for show (meaning they're they're for good reason).

I don't have firsthand experience but the thread for X58 micro-ATX boards on XS refers to overheat issues on this board and the EVGA X58 micro-ATX board that weren't surfacing on the ASUS Gene II so I'd say if you plan to get it, plan to get some sinks for those mosfets.

Can anyone confirm what to get for these mosfets?

I've heard that the sinks from a MSI Eclipse or X58 pro fits?

Any help appreciated!
