SYMPTOMS

Consider the following scenario. You are running Windows Vista or Windows Server 2008 on a computer that has multi-core processors. A driver on the computer calls the MmProbeAndLockPages routine asynchronously. In this scenario, data corruption may occur.

This problem occurs randomly. It typically occurs when the following conditions are true:

•The computer has some graphics processing devices installed.

•You are running a graphics-intensive application.

You can download the hotfix on the upper left corner "Hotfix Download Available". You will have to provide an e-mail address to get your hotfix link from Microsoft.

I did a quick search for hotfix 953186 and multi-core vista fix. The search results turn out nothing. I am sorry if this has been posted before. Just letting everybody know.

No Download link available here. Maybe it's because I'm running a Swedish version of Vista..

Thanks for pointing this out. I've not experienced the problem and I've run a LOT of graphics intensive apps (games) on this rig. Something to keep in mind if you experience this problem but don't install it otherwise.
