Ok...
First i was playing some eve-online and all of a sudden the temp alarm for my vid card goes off... i kill the game and look at temps.... 83C.... Was like WTF!!

I check the card... fan stoped spinning.... hmmm why would it do that??

Anyways the fan spins at machine boot up... but once in windows it stops..

I have tried this card on 3 differnt machines and everytime it's the same thing.. boot up machine... fan runs... get into windows, and about 1 min later the fan stops...

I also did a boot up into DOS... fan ran at system boot... but stoped...

I am so confused... i even reflash the bios with what evga has on there website... still same problem... anyone come across this problem? and know how to fix it without an RMA?

when it shuts off, did you try giving the fan a little nudge...?

Tried that to... The fan is very free flowing like it was when i bought it :D

try coolbits "fan always on" to see what happens.

tried that... :(

EVGA has a policy which states that if there is no physical damage to the card you can still return it for RMA.

I also asked them if it is ok to use a aftermarket cooling solution, they said yes. That being said, why not go for a Zalman VF700/900, artic silencer?

Good luck.
