ive been doing systems for a long long time, but now ive decided to do a case that i hope will look really good inside.

first of many pics. cant assemble anything more yet as im awaiting some stuff

modded side door window, heat shrinked cables. of course the only cables u will see will all be black. the red stuff will all be hidden behind the mb.

pretty much done now, although i have to wait 3 weeks for my 965 as i ran out of funds....arg. i wish i could have sheathed the 24pin cable...maybe next time.

Have you thought about putting the res in the top fan position? That way you have better airflow over the mobo.

you mean the rad for the H50?? i wish. because the rad is a bit bigger than a 120mm fan it wont fit on the top fan. even at that i doubt having it on the top wouldnt affect mobo airflow much at all. the 2 back fans are flipped to be intakes.
 
Very nice dude, looks great. I'm hoping to do a similar window mod to my Antec as well.

How are you liking the Corsair H50 btw? was looking into it a few months ago.

thanks i appreciate the feedback. was my first window mod and it was pretty easy to do.

i got the h50 as much for looks as anything else.to me it looks alot nicer in my case than a standard cooler. plus for me its different. im upgrading soon to a 955be so i wanted something stronger than my old zalman 9500. the 125w 6400+ i have now idles at 28c (ambient 22c) and using linx063, 4 hr load test maxes out at 44c both cores. so im happy with that. the 955be is 125w as well so temps should be about the same. im actually wanting to see how the h50 holds up to a decent overclock. itll be a few weeks but ill post some results in the cooling/oc section when i get it done.
 
thanks. i felt weird slicing up the door 10 mins after i unboxed it but to me it looks 100 times better than the stock one.
i used the stock window. cut out the new window, add edging and add some acryllic with some 3m super tape. acryllic was about $20, tape was about $6, edging i bought at canadan tire ( its automotive window edging) in an 18ft roll for $14.99. if you can use a jigsaw its not very hard. just take your time. theres a few tutorials on the net but i used tjharlow's on youtube.
