for the tittle,i specially brought a Zalman ZM80D-HP and ZM-OP1 to lower the temperature.i use the 12v connecter for the ZM-OP1,but it is not very sactisfactory since it still goes high(50'C or so)when the system full-load lasting for about a half day.but i hvnt got too much acvtivity cooling in my case.just a TT7A for my Thorton 2000+ oc 2.2G,and ZM- NB47J for northbridge heatsink,a 12 volt case fan for inhaling air in front of the case.
anybody tell me the is the ZM80D performing normal? cause i just took an hour for the ZM80D's installation
 
now just replace the CPU heatsink and fan to a Thermalright SK6+ and a Y.S 7cm 6000rpm fan. then oc 2.4G...the noise is intolerable:(
 
the zalman shouldnt make your card get that got... nvidia cards are nortoriously hotter then atis.. mine tops off at 50C no fan at all.. i got a lot of case cooling tho.. does the plates(BOTH) get warm/hot?
 
now after replacing the fan, it seems better.my card now could oc 452/375 stably :), the temperature is around 45'c,throught the noise still so...i think i should replace the psu later la
 
sorry about the tittle,make mistake,my cardz ram is 2.8ns.
and lastnight just reinstall the zm80D,and upturned the CPU fan,made changes alot to improve the airflow.and used ATItool to find out that the cardz max freq of core and mem is 442/387.after that i oc the card to 425/378, run stablely and goaled 2777 in 3DMark05!
(used to be 2595).now the temperature of core and the enviorment is 57/35.so excited!

too buzy to surf on the forum,i m going 2 try ocing my 9800"XT'" to obtain a higher score...2805 just at the position of 313 :eek: and the cpu might get a higher frequence by increasing some volt more...now the temp here is around 10-16'c,it is good for the heatsinking
