My Ultra V-Series going down the drain?

Well i've been having recent GPU issues, and my CPU is now failing Prime95 when it used to succeed in it at same settings.

I can't run any 3d program without insane glitching and artifacts, infact, I can't even run the "test for artifacts" tool with ATITool.

So I was thinking my GPU was going down, then I got an idea from another thread to check my 12v rail voltages.

Right now it is at...1.66, goes up to 7 when I start a 3d program, on the +12v rail.

Eh? Think I should order a new powersupply right about now?

If your 12v rail is running 1.66 to 7 then you need to find a different way of measuring it :) A new PSU probably wouldnt be a bad idea but your measurements are not accurate.

I would try another PSU simply because it's easy troubleshooting, but like Lawrence points out, I wouldn't assume it's the PSU based on those readings. They're obviously wrong. Your PC wouldn't even turn on if your +12V was only 1.66 to 7V. ;)
