Need a wireless card for my very old laptop

I have a very old Toshiba Satellite CDT445 I need a wireless card that would work with it.I tried a linksys WCP54g PCMCIA card but it didn't work.The power light wouldn't even turn on.just to make sure I tried on another laptop and it worked just fine.The card fits perfectly and it says it is a type 3 cardbus.This laptop is for my daughter who is only 7 but she likes to play her barbie games online and nick jr and it would be perfect for that

Windows 98SE doesn't have built-in Wifi support. You'll need to make sure you get a card that has both drivers and connection manager software.

The card I've had success with with Win9x variants is 2Wire's 802.11g card:

I'm sure there are many more, but this card can be found for cheap on Ebay, and its connection management software is easy to use. I have used them on one or two Toshibas with Win98 around the age of yours, though not on that specific model.
