I currently have an Antec true430

My small problem is the 3.3v rail is averaging 3.22V and dips down to 3.09ish V under heavy load and heavy overclock, (my sig) I think this is causing some instability when it drops too far and my system reboots occasionally.

I need a 2nd psu for my old rig parts so I can run both systems.
so I might as well get a new psu for this overclocking rig.

my two choices are:
ENERMAX 460W Power Supply for AMD K7 & Pentium4, Meet AMD K7 and Intel ATX +12V 1.1 and ATX 2.03 version, Model "EG465AX-VE (W)FCA"
http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProductDesc.asp?description=17-103-432&depa=0
Output: +3.3V@35A; +5V@35A; -5V@1A; +12V@33A; -12V@1A; [email protected]

OR

Antec 550 Watt Power Supply With 2 Fans 5.25 Control Panel, Model "TRUE CONTROL 550W" -RETAIL-
http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProductDesc.asp?description=17-103-922&depa=0
Output: +3.3V@32A; +5V@40A; [email protected]; +12V@24A; -12V@1A; +5VSB@2A

The prices are about the same.

what would everyone else chose? the enermax has less wattage but higher 3.3V amperage and 12V
yet the antex is higher watter with higher 5V rails.

I guess the Antec would be a bit better because of the higher wattage numbers. Buth are top quality PSUs though, you couldn't do wrong with either.

I would look at the Antec TrueControll. Top of the line quality, plus it gives you the option to change the rail voltages. I read a review somewhere that said you shouldnt unless you had a very very accurate oscilliscope/voltmeter though....Up to you.

Just my .02

I have the trucontrol, you can adjust the speed of the psu fans with a little knob on the 5.25 bay, it is pretty cool. I would get the same if I had it to do over again.
