Need replacement cord for Senn 590's

I have Sennheiser 590's and the cord has worn out on me again and I need some recomendations for a better quality cord. One that has good sound and doesent wear out so often. I can only spend up to $30.

more than $30, though. don't know if you can recable for that cheap. never used him but he has good reputation. and that price at $60 is his cost plus install, so if you diy, should be cheaper.

That looks like a better cable but I cant afford it.

The cable that connects to the computer. Its made really cheap. It seems to wear our every 5-9 months. Ive replaced it twice since Ive had the 590's.

i am curious, too? are you pulling the cord so it eventually shorts out or breaks? is it the jack? i can only imagine physical abuse and a better cable will still be subject to your problem if your not careful.

If it's the jack that's failing, you should look into a loose adapter like this: http://shop.sennheiserusa.com/retail2002/ProductDetails.aspx?direct_cat=Parts&direct_prod=092595

which will reduce the strain

I will say Terrymx on headfi makes all sorts of cables dirt cheap and has over 100 positive feedbacks I think, he made me a good custom cable for a fraction of what headphile and the other places charge.
