Alright, so my dad is going to buy a new computer for himself, and it will most likely be running these components in it:

AMD Athlon X2 4800+ (Not going C2D b/c AMD is way cheaper at this point)
ABIT AN52 Mobo
2 x 40 gb PATA HDD pulled from the old system (He doesn't need more space then this)
DVD-Rom + CD Burner pulled from old system
2 gb Crucial Ballistix DDR2-800
Either a Geforce 7300GS or 8600GT. Dunno if he wants to spend the money on the 8600GT, but I think vista would run slightly better on it.

However, the problem is that I can't convince him to spend a while lot of money on the PSU, so I am trying to find something that will be stable while remaining reasonable in price.

Some of the options that I have come up with are:
1. $87 - FSP Group (Fortron Source) Blue Storm II 500 ATX 2.2V 500W Power Supply 100 - 240 V UL, CSA, VDE, NEMKO, CNS, CE, CB, FCC - Retail - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817104034

2. $70 - FSP Group (Fortron Source) AX500-PN, ATX12V, V2.2, 12cm Fan, 2SATA, PCI-Express, 500W Power Supply 110-120/ 220-240V UL, CSA, VDE, NEMKO, TUV, CE, CB, FCC - Retail - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817104037

3. $58 - FSP Group (Fortron Source) AX450-PN, 12cm FAN, version 2.2, 2 SATA, PCI Express, 450W Power Supply - Retail - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817104954

4. $50 - SPARKLE ATX-450PN ATX12V 2.2 450W Power Supply 110-120/ 220-240V UL, CSA, TUV, CB - OEM - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817103024

These Models seem to be around the best bang for the buck that I can find, but I just need some confirmation on that.

I think that 3. and 4. are the same exact PSU, but not 100% on that. I am wondering any of the less expensive PSU's that I have will run the computer I listed fine. FSP/Sparkle seems to have a pretty good reputation for workhorse PSU's, which is why I am looking at these supplies.

Vista would not run better on an 8600GT -- it is insanely overpriced for what it is, and the DX10 support is a joke. EDIT: A 7300GS /is/ on the lower end of things, so yes, between the two the 8600GT would be a better choice, but there are better options out there.

Back to the main point.

XClio Goodpower 500watt. Should run about $50. Tested well at www.jonnyguru.com and is widely recommended for this sort of situation.

That Enhance PSU looks great for the price. I think I wanna get that to replace my ULTRA PSU.
