The processor, screen, video, and blu ray upgrades add over $500 extra in charges. One of my laptops took a shit and the only working one I have is a couple year old Dell Inspiron. What do you think?

Not impressed with the specs of that Dell 17" Studio notebook. It has a good high res of 1920 x 1200 though. For $1246.99 you can get this HP HDX18t Premium Series Notebook with these specs.

Yup. If you configure that HP notebook with a 320GB 7200rpm harddrive, the cost will be $1,197.99. Still the specs of this HP notebook is more impressive than that Dell Studio 17" notebook.
