Apple has unveiled a complete new serie of DVI screens that works on Mac as well as on PC's with the digital video interface. You can only use the 20 and 23 inchers for now on the Pc because the 30 incher has a 2500X1600 resolution.

What is the MSRP on those beasts? would be sweet for watching DVDs...
 
You also have to buy a special 6800 Ultra with Dual-DVI in order to run the 30" monitor, per Apple's site, so that bumps the price by an additional $500 or so.

The 30-inch Cinema HD Display requires the next level of DVI connectivity — “dual link” to drive the massive amount of pixels to the screen. And the NVIDIA GeForce 6800 Ultra DDL graphics card (available from the Apple Store) delivers, with the most advanced graphics engine available. This card, designed specifically to support the dual link DVI connection, delivers 2560 by 1600 resolution. Even better, it can drive two 30-inch Apple Cinema HD Displays, giving you the ultimate creative canvas. This card will be available for Mac only in August 2004.

remember the 'ol saying:

"If you gotta ask how much then..............."

-that most certainly applies here as well and when it comes to Apple stuff, there's no telling how many arms, legs, pints of blood and how many of your new-born children they'll want in exchange for one of them monitors. :D

But... they're so... pretty! :eek:

EDIT: They're available from the apple store for $1,299.00 for the small one, $1,999.00 for the medium, and $3,299.00 for the large (Plus 6800u!).
 
Lol the graphics department at my job just replaced all their computers with G5s and bought everyone the (now) old 23" cinema displays last week. Haha :D
