So this is what I am currently looking to get, let me know if you guys see any conflicts.
I went with the velociraptor because it is fast and large enough for many games. I am relying on SRT pick up the slack for daily speed increase on the system. On a side note does the momentus XT work with SRT? is there a conflict in the caching when they are mated? Thanks for any and all comments.

Corsair 650D Case ($162.50)

Which of these is the better bet? Will I have an issue with cable length using the 650D case?

Already have gigabyte extreme OC GTX 580

600Gb Velociraptor ($190)

Crucial M4 64GB ($107) (used for SRT)

Go with the Silverstone 1000W PSU as it's the better quality of the two PSUs.

IMO, you're better off not using SRT as having the SSD and the HDD seperate will give you more overall performance. These are better ways to spend that $300:
$198 - Crucial M4 CT128M4SSD2 2.5" 128GB SSD
$65 - Hitachi Desktar 7K1000.D HDS721010DLE630 1TB SATA 6.0Gb/s Hard Drive

Total: $263 shipped

The above gets you a larger and faster SSD (Generally when you increase the size of a SSD, the faster it gets). The above Hitachi drive isn't that much slower than the VRaptor.

However, if you're still gonna stick with SRT, at least follow Intel's guidelines: According to Intel, the optimal SSD type to use with SRT is a SLC based SSD due to their better ability to sustain the massive amount of work that SRT will do. Something like this:

Ditch the velociraptor and just get a fast 1TB drive, like the Samsung F3 or the Hitachi 7K1000.D

So would i be better off with a p67 mobo instead?

Also, are the cables long enough on the silverstone PSU? i think someone said the cabkes were on the short side...

Doesn't really matter. The price difference between a P67 and Z68 mobo isn't that big. Not to mention that the Z68 is pretty much the P67 combined with the H67 with additional features.

Dunno to be honest.
