New Chimei 22 in LCD

With Samsung soon to introduce some new lcd monitors, I thought I throw this in the mix. I didn't see any mention of this new Chimei 222H model in the forum, so here it is:

I think it looks real nice, especally compared to the 222D. There's seems to be more discussions about this model on the Australian sites, so I'm wondering if or when we'll see it here in the states. It would be nice to compare to the new Samsungs coming out.

chimei panels are quite poor compaired with S-SDI, AUO and LG.Philips. Personally, I would seay clear.

They are equal quality to your average LG/Westinghouse TN panels, older ones were superior TNs.

Westinghouse dont make LCDs, that use 3rd party ones.

The best TN panel is manafactured by Samsung SDI, followed by LG.Philips etc...

Actually, Westinghouse owns part of Chi Mei. This is in fact why they decided to start selling LCD products under the Westinghouse name...they just happened to own an LCD panel manufacturer, so why not?

So they tend to use Chi Mei panels as the default for all of their LCD products. Not sure if 100% of them are Chi Mei, however.
