new ipod touch internet proble

just got my touch in the morning and finally got a chance to try a wifi hotspot. but it doesn't seem to work. my home wifi is pretty protected but everytime i type in the password it just says unable to connect it. is there some special setting for my router for it to be able to connect to the router/

Do you have MAC address filtering enabled on your router? If yes, then you'll need to add your iPod's MAC address to the list.
 
haven't had many issues with mine in the last month except for issues joining networks after I turn the wireless off. I do that due to battery drain and at work I can't get on the wireless so no need to turn it on, but when I get home, if I turn it on, I have to turn it back off after connecting to my network and then back on before it will join. Oh well...hopefully its something as easy as MAC filtering (what I have setup on my network)
