I would like to throw some new performance ram into my rig. I do not plan to overclock, what I want is 2GB (2x1GB) that'll kick ass right out of box. Anybody have any suggestions?

Personally i'd say save your money and get midrange stuff if you don't plan overclocking. I have always had experience with Corsair Value Select

Are you going DDR1 or DDR2? Which motherboard and processor will you be using?

Corsair has Value Select for the barebones guys who don't care too much about latencies, but we also have entry-level XMS stuff for guys who want the heatspreaders and a little tighter timings.

Right now, if you're not overclocking, I'd say:

DDR1 AMD - TWINX2048-3200C2 (cheap option) or TWINX2048-3500LLPRO (fancier slightly faster option)

DDR2 AMD - TWIN2X2048-6400 (cheaper option) or TWIN2X2048-6400C4 (fancier slightly faster option)

DDR2 Intel - TWIN2X6400-6400 (cheaper option) or TWIN2X2048-5400C4 (even cheaper option but only 675 MHz)
