Looking to get a new video card but cant decide what I want.. I currently have a Radeon 9800 XT (256mb) I want something less then $500( CDN ) and I want a company that I can trust... what do you all recommend? ive been looking at the BFG GeForce 6800Ultra OC 256MB, Sapphire Radeon X800 XL 256MB,EVGA e-GeForce 6600GT 128MB or the ATI All-In-Wonder Radeon X800XT 256MB ...many thanks

Mannnay!!!

Which ones have the best warranty?

Even Canadian PNY only has a 3 year warranty after registration.

Me, I bought a eVga 6800GT because of the warranty and because BFG are hard to find. XFT now has a lifetime warranty, also.

6800, but just an fyi you can get a 7800 gtx for cheaper than $500. I'd wait a couple weeks personally and, see the release of the r520 through. It may have an effect on prices.

Hey Manny,

As I told you on MSN, the best deal right now is the x800XL. It can be had at local Futureshops for a really good deal. And it offers the same performance as a 6800GT or so, for quite a bit less cash.

The only thing you lose out on is the newer shader versions, which will be important for the next round of games (ie: I believe Ut2007 and Quake 4 will be using the SM3.0's that the 6800GT's and other newish Nvidia cards have right now). You have to decide how important that is to you.

If it were me, I'd buy the x800xl because it is a sweet deal. $329 Canadian at your local futureshop: http://www.futureshop.ca/catalog/pr...angid=EN&sku_id=0665000FS10059866&catid=10524

You ain't going to find a 6800GT for that price.

I agree. As ATI releases their R520, nVidia is going to cut prices to keep up with them. That benefits us as SLI, here I come :D
