I have a brand new in the box XFX HD 6970. I bought it brand new from newegg awhile back and was planning on building a triple monitor setup, but just never got around to it. Don't have kids. 
I have never even taken the card out of the wrapping. It looks and smells new! I just opened the box when I got it, to register it. Warranty as you know can be transferred.
